With a grip sock, size matters more than with a normal sock. Too big and the heel sits in the wrong place and the sock bunches. Too small and it digs in. Here is how to get it right.

Measure your foot, not your shoe

Shoe sizes vary between brands, so start with your foot length.

  1. Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall.
  2. Mark the tip of your longest toe.
  3. Measure from the wall to the mark in millimetres.
  4. Do both feet and use the longer one.

Size chart

Size Foot length US UK EU
S 215 to 240 mm 4 to 6 2 to 5 35 to 38
M 245 to 270 mm 7 to 9 6 to 8 39 to 42
L 275 to 300 mm 10 to 12 9 to 11 43 to 46

These sizes are unisex.

If you are between sizes

Pick the size your foot length falls into. If you sit right on the border, or you prefer a looser feel, size up.

How a good fit should feel

  • The heel of the sock sits exactly on your heel.
  • No wrinkles under the foot or across the arch.
  • Firm and even around the arch and ankle, with no pinching.

Taping-style compression socks feel tight the first time. That is expected. Here is how to put them on easily.
