Every VANTAGE sock is built around three systems that work together to keep your foot planted, dry and supported. Here's what each one does — and why it matters.
1. Hexa-Grip — the non-slip sole
Hexagonal non-slip patterns cover the entire sole, not just the toes. They create friction between your foot and the insole so the foot can't shear on push-off, landing or lateral movement. The result: less wasted energy and far less work for your ankle.
Hexa-Grip keeps the foot locked to the insole — no slip, even under load.
2. BioMax — fast-wicking fabric
The fabric is built for heat. BioMax yarn (50% in the V1, 75% in the V1 Pro) wicks sweat off your skin to the surface where it evaporates, through an air-hole knit structure. It's also antibacterial and deodorising — designed for exactly the humid conditions where ordinary socks turn into a wet sauna.
3. Taping Compression — physio-designed support
This is where VANTAGE's physiotherapy roots show. Special taping lines wrap the ankle and arch, modelled on how a physiotherapist tapes an athlete. They reduce foot fatigue and add meaningful support through repetitive impact. (Meet the physio behind the design →)
How they work together
Dry feet (BioMax) don't slide; a gripped foot (Hexa-Grip) doesn't waste energy or overwork the ankle; taping compression supports the joint through it all. See the difference against an ordinary sock:
VANTAGE vs an ordinary sock — the foot stays locked in place.
Both lines share all three technologies at S$30. The only difference is fabric blend — V1 vs V1 Pro explained →.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Hexa-Grip?
A hexagonal non-slip pattern covering the whole sole of a VANTAGE sock, designed to stop your foot sliding inside the shoe so you don't lose energy or stability.
What is BioMax fabric?
A fast-wicking, antibacterial yarn used in VANTAGE socks (50% in V1, 75% in V1 Pro) that pulls sweat away from the skin — built for hot, humid conditions.
What is Taping Compression?
Physiotherapist-designed support lines that wrap the ankle and arch, modelled on athletic taping, to reduce foot fatigue and support the joint during running.
Do both VANTAGE socks have all three technologies?
Yes. The V1 and V1 Pro share the same Hexa-Grip sole and Taping Compression; they differ only in BioMax content (the Pro dries faster and feels firmer).
